7HP Petrol vs 9HP Diesel Power Weeder: Inter-Cultivation ROI for Indian Farmers
Share
7HP & 9HP Power Weeders & Rotary Tillers
Direct gear-drive petrol & diesel weeders for sugarcane, cotton, and horticulture. 32-blade rotary with state subsidy invoice.
For farms under 5 acres with narrow row crops (cotton, vegetables, maize, horticulture), a 7HP Petrol Weeder (₹38,710) is significantly more practical: weighing around 85 kg, a single farmer can easily lift and turn it at row ends without compacting soil or damaging stalks. For farms exceeding 8 acres of sugarcane or heavy black cotton soils (regur) requiring deep rotavating (>8 inches), a 9HP Diesel Weeder (₹64,500) justifies its 135 kg weight through unstoppable low-RPM diesel torque and 35% lower hourly fuel costs.

How many manual laborers does a 7HP power weeder replace?
A 7HP power weeder weeds 1 acre of land in 2.5 to 3.5 hours, doing the work of 8 to 12 manual farm laborers working with khurpis, saving ₹3,000 to ₹4,500 per acre in weeding labor costs.
Can I attach a ridger or water pump to both weeders?
Yes. Both models feature standard rear PTO / hitch brackets that accept ditchers (मिट्टी चढ़ाने वाला रिजर), potato diggers, single-bottom plows, and belt-driven water pumps.
How does direct factory dispatch work on FarmingTools.in?
Every power weeder is ordered per sale directly from authorized manufacturers (Neptune, Balwaan, Royal Kissan), undergoes factory pre-dispatch crate inspection, and ships with zero transit markup directly to your nearest regional transport hub.
